Our boysenberry plants are grown in clean organic soil teeming with mycorrhizae fungi to enhance nutrient uptake and overall plant health. Plant in a very sunny location with well-draining soil, ensuring adequate spacing and we recommend incorporating organic compost to promote root development and growth. Plants are bare root, which means no pot or soil, but super healthy lll been hardened off to sun and should be planted asap, or kept in a refrigerator until they’re ready to plant
To nurture your boysenberry plants, provide regular watering, ample sunlight (6-8+ hours if you can) and proper support as they grow. Pruning after fruiting encourages new growth and improves air circulation, while organic fertilizers like rock dusts and compost promote healthy foliage and abundant fruit production. These are like massive blackberry plants, and they do have thorns, but the superior berries are worth it! The flavor is better than any blackberry IMO!
